Joop van den HeuvelParticipantI am looking for an talented Post Doc interested in recombinant protein production. The project must be closely linked to the infection research program of the HZI in Braunschweig. Especially host pathogen factors like receptor proteins and their binding partner as well as viral envelop proteins and membrane proteins belong to our targets.
In the RG Recombinant Protein Expression we develop and improve methods to produce and purify these challenging proteins for analysis in the department of structure and function of proteins.
If you are interested in this research and have finalized your excellent PhD in molecular biology, biotechnology or infection biology not more then three years ago, please contact me to learn about the stipend program. Successful applicants to this program will be offered a two year stipend at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in Braunschweig, Germany.

Joop van den HeuvelParticipantDear all,
In the department for function and structure of proteins, RG recombinant protein expression, we are urgently looking for new candidates for a Post-Doc postion for at least 18 Months at the HZI and a candidate for a PhD Position. The topic will still be “Developing new strategies for efficient production of viral envelop proteins for vaccinology and expression of membrane proteins in optimized insect cell lines”. A part is financed by the Instruct -Ultra EU Project and additional funding will be available form the HZI Helmholtz Center for Infection Research.
The main focus of our research group is to produce ample amounts of high quality protein samples for structural and functional analysis in the scope of bacterial infection, viral infection and drug-target research. Substantial biophysical analysis of the quality of the proteins, protein-protein interactions and biochemical activity will be investigated within this project. If you are qualified in the research field of biotechnology, infection research or molecular biology and are looking for a challenging project in an excellent scientific environment please feel free to contact me: (Joop.vandenheuvel@helmholtz-hzi.de) as soon as possible.
Best regards Joop van den Heuvel
