Sabine SuppmannModeratorDear Colleagues
when sending home staff members for home office, it would be helpful if they could use that time for any kind of online training.
Has anyone information about useful online trainings ?
Best

AnonymousInactiveDear all,
I have recently started a course for R at https://www.edx.org and it works quite well with video tutorials, reading materials and assesments. They have all kinds of courses in many different fields, perhaps most interesting for our field are courses in Bioinformatics and Data Science. So far it seems that many or most of these courses are free, but you have the option to buy a certificate in the end, and I think the “final assesment” for most courses you can only do when you pursue the certificate.
I hope this helps a little,
best wishes,

Sabine SuppmannModeratorHi Christian
thats a good idea, I never find the time to learn R
But I am looking particularly for the technicians, basics in protein purification, cloning, whatever

Patrick CelieParticipantHi All,
I have suggested the Cryo EM tutorials by Grant Jensen (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8_xPU5epJdctoHdQjpfHmd_z9WvGxK8-) to some of my colleagues. It is probably close to 8 hours of tutorial and I would recommend it for those who would like to know more about the principles of Cryo EM.
Not directly related to protein production/purification, but certainly worthwhile for those with ‘spare’ time.
Best wishes,
Patrick
