Nick BerrowModeratorThe third CTLS congress will soon take place in Ghent (Belgium) on July 1-4 2018 (see (http://www.ctls-org.eu/ctls-congresses/ctls-2018/). CTLS2018 will include plenary and parallel sessions focusing on all facets of core facility operations, management and specific technologies of interest to core facility staff. Keynote talks will be given by 2001 Nobel laureate Paul Nurse and by Frances Weis-Garcia (President of ABRF). There will be many networking opportunities with fellow professionals and top company representatives.
Members of the CTLS Association (www.ctls-org.eu) will benefit from a very substantially reduced registration fee (300 euros instead of 420).
This reduction is higher than the annual CTLS membership fee (100 euros).
Furthermore the association will set-up 4 travel bursaries (500 euro each) for young CTLS members to participate in the congress (more details to come soon).
Finally, P4EU will be organizing a satellite meeting attached to the CTLS2018 congress.
We therefore invite you to become a member of the CTLS Association on this occasion ((http://www.ctls-org.eu/membership/apply-for-membership/).
With head office in Paris, the CTLS Association already brings together more than 100 members from 13 countries (from Europe but also far beyond). CTLS addresses all staff (scientists, engineers, technicians, administrative staff) of core facilities, research infrastructures and shared resource labs in all fields of Life Sciences (see attached document and http://www.ctls-org.eu/about-ctls/)
Joining the CTLS Association will give you the opportunity to connect with fellow professionals in your area and many others, and to boost your career through training workshops, webcasts, online courses and other events.
Of note, any institution or network established as a legal entity can subscribe a grouped membership package (minimum 6 paid memberships): for each two paid memberships, CTLS will offer an extra free one!
If you have any questions or comments about CTLS and your benefits as a member, please feel free to contact us for further details: contact@ctls-org.eu
Don’t hesitate to disseminate this e-mail widely to all of your colleagues who might be interested.
On behalf of the membership committee and the Executive Board of the CTLS Association, I look forward to welcoming you soon as a member.
Best regards,
Patrick ENGLAND
President of the CTLS Association
