The Protein Production Core Facility of the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB), Mainz, wishes to recruit a Staff Scientist.
IMB (www.imb.de) is a research institute on the campus of Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany. It is generously funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Our research focuses on the biology of the cell nucleus and ranges from the molecular level to organismic, systems and computational approaches. We conduct basic research in gene regulation, genome stability, and the biology of aging. Researchers at IMB are supported by strong core facilities that offer state-of-the-art services in bioinformatics, cytometry, genomics, histology & microscopy, proteomics, and protein production. The Protein Production Core Facility is looking for a highly motivated and experienced staff scientist (m/f/d) to join their team.
The staff scientist will join an experienced team and focus their work on the purification and characterization of recombinant proteins produced in pro- and eukaryotic cells using various chromatographic methods and automated systems.

Duration: The position is initially available for two years with the possibility of extension.
