Tamar UngerParticipantAre there any examples of recombinant proteins which are expressed intracellular in eukaryotic systems (yeast, insect or mammalian cells) that could be identified as a major band from cell extracts, without any manipulation, when analyzing on SDS-PAGE staining? (Not by immunoblot analysis and without partial purification).

Hüseyin BesirParticipantHi Tamar,
we had many intracellular insect cell expression constructs that gave a strong band in the total lysate on SDS-PAGE with the correct size of the target. Do you need any pictures or constructs? How about the constructs from the insect cell benchmarking experiments? Those were clearly visible in the crude lysate in most cases.
