The newly established research group of Dr. Thomas Quail at EMBL Heidelberg (Germany) is looking for a for a laboratory officer / research technician.

This interdisciplinary, curiosity-driven group uses a combination of biochemistry, cell biology, quantitative microscopy, single-molecule biophysics, and Xenopus egg extracts to dissect the physical and biochemical principles driving genome self-organization.

They are searching for a highly motivated applicant who would establish and maintain the DNA engineering, protein purification and biophysical characterization methods in the lab, would play a central role in setting up the research group, and who would make original scientific contributions to the research projects of the lab.
