Jan BlahaParticipantThe group of Prof. Matthias Wilmanns at EMBL Hamburg (Germany) is looking for a trainee/master’s student. The fellowship is available for up to one year supported by the Dieter Schwarz Foundation to the Life Science Alliance between EMBL and Stanford University.

Our structural biology group uses combination of cell biology, protein crystallography and advanced X-ray diffraction methods to grow and investigated protein crystals grow in mammalian cells.
<br>
We are searching for a highly motivated applicant who will be trained to help prepare and modify mammalian expression vectors, maintain and transfect mammalian cell cultures, detect crystal growth in cells by advanced microscopy techniques, prepare crystals on fixed targets for X-ray diffraction data acquisition and to process acquired diffaction data.
