      Dear All,

      Media Selection: I am measuring quantity of luciferase produced in Vero cells. Also I am measuring fluorescence of GFP as internal control.
      My question is : When conducting fluorescence or luminescence assays, is DMEM supplemented with phenol red suitable as a medium, or could the phenol red contribute to background interference? I suspect it may cause fluorescence quenching or absorb light, but I would appreciate your guidance on this.
