      Dear Colleagues,

does anybody has experience with Vmax (Vibrio natriegens) cell protein expression and purification? I noticed very rapid and efficient lysis of Vmax cells grown at 30oC with French press, which is nice.
However, the turpid total lysate was not clarified even at 40.000 x g, in fact, I had almost no pellet at all. Has somebody experience with recombinant protein purification from Vmax?

      Hi Frank
I do not have concrete experience in Vmax, but…taking in consideration your description, could be that it is nucleic acids (mainly DNA) .
Did you try PEI? (or similar precipitation, check my website or ask me for it)?, DNase?
I would check this direction + a possible dilution 3-5 times of the lysate

      Hi Frank,

We are starting to test Vmax (Vibrio natriegens) for protein expression and purification. Any tips are appreciated?

Did you ever managed to express any protein on these cells?

      Best regards, Andrea
